This Northbrook church sanctuary needed a full roof overhaul. The sanctuary's pitched metal roof was due for restoration, and the flat roof sections on the lower portions of the building needed to be replaced entirely. Two different roof systems, one building - that's the kind of scope that requires a clear plan and the right materials for each area.
For the pitched sanctuary roof, we completed a full metal roof restoration. Metal roofs are one of the most durable systems out there, but they still need attention over time. Oxidation, minor surface failures, and compromised seams can quietly chip away at a roof's performance. A proper restoration stops that deterioration, extends the life of the existing metal panels, and brings back the protection the building needs.
The flat roof sections were a different story. Those got a full re-roofing with a new TPO membrane system. TPO is a smart choice for flat commercial roofs - it holds up well against standing water, resists UV exposure, and delivers a clean, watertight finish. The bright white membrane you see on the lower sections is exactly what a well-installed TPO system should look like.
What we ended up with is a building that now has two properly matched roof systems working together. The restored metal on the sanctuary. Fresh TPO on every flat section. No mismatched patchwork, no shortcuts. For a property manager or facilities team, that kind of consistency matters - fewer headaches, fewer unexpected repairs, and a roof you can actually count on going forward.
Buildings like this - churches, community centers, multi-section commercial properties - are exactly where it pays to work with a contractor who understands both sloped and flat roofing systems. Getting one right while ignoring the other just pushes the problem down the road. We treat the whole building, not just the part that's leaking today.
